Minecraft! (terribly happy face)
Haha I've discovered Minecraft, which is (as my dad says after having seen my map several times cuz I wanted to show off my house) something resembling version one of Warcraft. Which means pixels, basically. And large, blockular (which is totally a word, by the way) animals, zombies, exploding green penises, characters; along with an ample serving of 2D material icons (eg coal, diamonds seeds etc). This also means it kicks ass! :D The awesome gameplay makes up for the graphics, and the software is always being updated (Super Secret Update Fridays) by Notch. The system gets new toys added for us players, such as more uses for things that currently have no use other than existing.
Ego time. I wanna show off my house! (Don't judge me, dammit! I like my house..) Click the images for bigger ones. You know you want to. :D
I don't know why, but this pig really likes to rape my house. =_=
Apparently these paintings are designed first in large scale by an artist and then scaled down to fit Minecraft specs. I saw the full size ones and they're pretty awesome. 8D
Crop room. I'm pretty proud of the glass level. :D
You can milk these things -.- Don't ask me if the udders end up squished into other shapes or anything, I haven't tried yet wtf. Don't think they do thou. I will milk these babies when Milk has an actual usage in Minecraft other than just existing and taking up inventory space maybe? And make a milk-filled room.. *O*
HEEHEEHEE 'nuff said. Nekked sheep!
So anyways, due to the sheer addictiveness of this game, I have ended up falling asleep on buses home and missing my stop, as well as getting some bad neckaches. (Darn!) Hence, I have decided to /try/ a Minecraft detox. Which I know will never work, but will try anyway. Points for effort, anyone?
Meh I haven't been able to get a screenshot of the monsters, but I'll post some from the Minecraft wiki just so I can point out that the Creepers (below) really do look like penises. BEHOLD THE CARNAGE:
EXPLODING JUMPING GREEN PENISES! :O These things explode when near the player. They tend to kill. (I really have nothing more to say about these things than that they are annoying and look like male genitalia. >_<)
Okay enough Minecraft for today (sadface). I'm getting exam results back in about 8 hours ('tis currrently 12.45am in the morning, and I am too stressed to sleep) and it's absolutely terrifying because a number of my seniors have been held back, and I really don't want to end up with my grades slipping. Furthermore I get money from the government to do well, so I may as well do so. (2.4k leh!)
Grh. (stressedface) I am going to go sleep now. Night~
{/I hate you, Stephenie Meyer.
Friday, October 8, 2010 ( 8:20 PM )
This is really not getting anywhere. Because of this retarded Twilight mania that is STILL ongoing four years after the first blasphemous book was published, I officially cannot enjoy other books that I find in the library. To clarify, I found this really pretty book called Shiver, and I thought the concept was pretty interesting. However! When I go look for other book reviews on it, bulk of them are people slamming it because they used Twilight as a benchmark to compare it against. For the record, I am in no fandom. Not at all. (Ha!)
So yes, Stephenie Meyer, I hope you curl up and die one day with all your blasphemy, so that people like me can read other books and novels in peace. Having one's literature compared 24/7 with your crap series is unpleasant and tiring.
That being said, I heard that Shiver is going to be made into a movie. I think this is going to become one of those novels that skyrockets to popularity once it does hit the silver screen. And I'm gonna be like, Dude, I totally read this before it got famous and crappy. Then I will move on to some other kickass series :D

Today was Theatre exam. Can't say much. I'm bored. To death. ;__;

......perhaps I should start revision on my Japanese.

So I'm aware that this blog is mostly going nowhere - as in feedback wise. I don't think it's such a bad thing, actually. After all, recently there've been things that I've needed to just get off my chest, but not in a notebook or stuff like that; and I'm pretty sure they're not very interesting. Heh.
On to business! Recently I've been rather blue. Maybe it's the weather, maybe it's the exams, maybe it's stress, maybe I'm ill, maybe it's all the reports I've read recently on the gay students committing suicide because of homophobic pressure at home and in school. Don't get me wrong, I do not take sides when it comes to one's orientation. However, when it comes to human lives..
Okay, maybe I am not qualified to speak my views on this subject, but here's my two cents worth anyway for whoever thinks it's important. I think that human lives are precious, that it's really a shame when people are pressured by whatever reason to take their lives away - to be able to experience life, is that not a beautiful, wonderful thing, regardless of how harsh or ruthless it is to us?
As to the student who jumped off the bridge because of what his roommate did; I have only regret that such a terrible invasion of privacy had been forced on him. It is a constitutional right for humans to be entitled to their own privacy, no? The fact that he decided to end his life early because of this right being taken away from him - it just makes me really sad, and more determined to make the most out of the gifts and opportunities I've been given so that I don't end up missing out on the experiences life can offer me.
That, of course, means that I'm trying my best to work hard, do well and excel in school; make life easier financially on my parents (school fees don't come cheap, now); spur my small brother on the awesomeness for his upcoming major exams and to have fun with people I enjoy being around! :D
It also means taking what I've been keeping inside me for a while out in the open for myself to reflect on, and to decide if it's really worth bearing the burden. Sigh. It's been bugging me for a while, and it's been reflected in my writing! ): It's so awful, and it feels terrible and icky and slimy and leech-like.
Therefore, I conclude, in considerably happier spirit: ONWARD! (victory yell)
{/Last day of lessons
Friday, October 1, 2010 ( 4:05 AM )
Today is Friday.
Of course you knew that.
Today is also the last day of official lessons with my lovely Year 2 class. The whole finality of it just hit me in the face, and led me to think a little about the times I've shared the past two years with them. Yes, we've had our disputes, struggles, conflicts etc. But we've also had wonderful moments in which we laughed, joked around, and enjoyed our head off. (Peier's 16th at ECP anyone? LOL)
Now don't get me wrong here. I know that cuz we're the supposed best class, most of us will not stream out. However, the fact remains that some of us might, and although I say a lot of things about them, I still am grateful that I got a chance to know them. They've made my day several times with their nonstop joker-ness; pranked me quite badly too (but perhaps that's cuz I'm too gullible..? XD) ; made me question certain beliefs that I've held to myself up till now. They have challenged me and helped me grow along the way. Which is very awesome. :D
One of us is leaving for at least two years; migrating to Delhi. All the best, my dear! We'll miss you (to small pieces!) , and we'll /try/ to Facebook you as much as possible so that you know what's going on here in Singapore. Hope you have a blast out there, make new friends, learn more about yourself and smile loads. (Which we know you won't have an issue doing, you're such a smiley person as it is~)
I will stop the terribly thoughtful writing now. Gotta study. @_@
{/Post-mugging destress?! :O
Wednesday, September 29, 2010 ( 4:37 AM )
HRAAAWWRRRR (breathes fire on you)
I don't wanna mug all of a sudden. ): BUT I MUST! So I'll get to studying Western Theatre after a break, cuz I just finished math. Swear we've already done the supp worksheets she gave us today.
So anyway, I recently came across this site that my cousin recommended (she's studying fine arts) called Immersive Garden by Dilshan Arukatt, an art director based in Paris. The site is actually an online portfolio with an interactive interface that moves! The images and quotes on the site are really inspirational and beautiful, perhaps I let the photos below speak for themselves? They're all wallpapers used in the site that are downloadable. (Not interactive when downloaded though, it's a pity!) Disclaimer: I do not own any of these images. (c) Dilshan Arukatt.

Immersive Garden has been awarded Site of the Day multiple times. :O
Kay that aside. There's so much stuff to do post exam! (sadface) I'm afraid there might be too many activites for me to handle; they've all got similar/close deadlines. Argh. Back to mugging.
{/Reflection time.
Tuesday, September 28, 2010 ( 6:54 PM )
So it's reflection time for the school; reflection time for the soul, etc. I think I'll reflect more on my regrets and hopes. And happy moments, of course! :3
So uh. Happy moments. I think that this year was great for me cuz I got to meet lots of new people, forge new ties with awesome humanoids I already know and experience new stufffffz. (;D) I learnt lots of new things this year! For example, like how to tie a candy string into a knot with my tongue; how to play the guitar; how to Photoshop decently for school assignments; how sometimes being honest with myself and other people (to a certain extent :P) isn't necessarily a bad thing. I've also done pretty well for my recent assessments (except Chinese) and mock assessments (except Chinese) and did I forget, except Chinese! (and Japanese. OTL 失敗です!! )
I had a blast at Year 2 camp, organised myself, made better study notes (which had better be effective for exams, otherwise I'm killing people), reorganised my room a couple million times. We (the friendly humanoids and I) gave Bex a couple million other nicknames, played the llama game, and found new swearwords to use in class that won't get us expelled. ;)
And I discovered Bones, NCIS, How I Met Your Mother, etc. Yes, I know I'm slow. I'm making up for it!
AND OH MY GOD 会長はメイド様!‘s 碓氷拓海! (nosebleed)(nosebleed)(nosebleed)(nosebleed)(nosebleed)(nosebleed)(nosebleed)(nosebleed)(nosebleed)(nosebleed)(nosebleed)(nosebleed)(nosebleed)(nosebleed)(nosebleed)(nosebleed)(nosebleed)(nosebleed)(nosebleed)
Regrets.. I didn't actually fulfill all my New Year resolutions. Like revising my EL1 日本語. (As you can see, I'm totally trying to make up for that now >_<'') I think I might have dropped /marginally/ in my overall percentage, which is not awesome. I would still like to claim money from the gah-men, thanks very much :D Didn't do as well for Lit and Chinese as I would have wanted to - then again, I want to do awesome for all my subjects OTL - it's actually harder than I thought! Analysis kicks my ass. (sadface)
But I've always held this philosophy that regardless of how well a year went, I should try and enjoy it to the max! Because I don't think there's much point in emoing all over the place when one can take everything with a positive attitude, and learning something from it. (Good god, so philosophical. -.-'') And I have learnt a lot from this year! I've experienced new things, I've been more risk-taking than I was last year (I think. Hope I'm right! ;D), been more outspoken and sincere about my opinion (though it might be kinda terribly mean and sarcastic at times GOSH I FEEL SO BAD SORRRYYYYYY T^T)
Shizzle. Last five minutes to type.
... (Obviously not using time well.) (I should really get back to serious mugging when I get home.)
So in conclusion! This year was well lived. I laughed, fought, argued, smiled, conspired, teased, got stooged, joked, felt like I was worth something, and hopefully for the upcoming exams, will excel. Wish all of us good exams~~ WE CAN DO IT! YOSHHH! :3
Back to mugging.
がんばって、ね?
{/HWAAAAAWR I AM VERY BORED
Sunday, July 18, 2010 ( 2:11 AM )
I AM VERY BORED. Pretty obvious right. -.-
SO ANYWAY DO YOU KNOW WHAT ONE CAN DO WHILE BORED? sadface
Actually, I just realised. I can go mess around with my electric now. Hmmm.
{/I'm back! =3=
Saturday, July 17, 2010 ( 6:43 AM )
So uh. It's been a while! :D And I've decided due to extreme boredom that I should start trying to blog as often as I can, just cuz I should do this url some justice. I mean, it exists, right! And I've been feeling like just typing stuff out.
So anyway. I've done lots of things since the last post~ I...
*went hiking with my 3 dads, 2 mums, 1 sister and 1 other questionable life-form (Ernest)
*turned 14 (which was actually surprisingly uneventful)
*reconnected with several primary school friends
*took part in a band competition
*did awesome for mid-years
*had a big awesome make-cake day with Bex, Ernest and YY
*got an electric guitar!
*discovered the awesome that is Hips Don't Lie, A Dramatic Reading by The Fray
and so on and so forth. I mean I could go on for ages, I just can't remember and I really don't think the rest is very interesting. :D
Anyway! HEIGHT ISSUE. It's horrible that I'm so short! I should sleep more, but I either cannot sleep or have no time. Wonderful, right? Sigh. The sensible thing would be to face up that I might be really short, but who cares! I'm going to grow taller, cuz I want to. >:D
Has anyone been to see Despicable Me, TS3 and/or Inception yet? I wanna hit a cinema sometime. Hmmm.
